1. Operator, Publisher & Scope of Application

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of the website montenegrotravel.guide, its free travel resources (including the 11-page PDF sample and pre-trip email checklist), and the purchase and use of the digital publication "Montenegro Insider Travel Guide" (2026 Edition, 60+ pages, PDF & EPUB formats, including the 4-page local phrasebook).

The website and digital publications are operated and published by SIDTEC Entwicklung s.r.o., Karpatské námestie 7770/10A, 831 06 Bratislava – Rača, Slovak Republic (IČO: 57537747, DIČ: 2122805685, registered at the Commercial Register of the Municipal Court Bratislava III, Section Sro, Insert No. 197967/B), authored by Ivan Semenov. 2. Pricing, Checkout & Instant Digital Delivery (Gumroad as Merchant of Record)

The retail price of the complete digital guide is €19.99 (EUR). SIDTEC Entwicklung s.r.o. is not a VAT payer (nie je platiteľom DPH) in the Slovak Republic.

All orders, checkout payments, and digital file deliveries are processed through our authorized e-commerce reseller and Merchant of Record, Gumroad, Inc. (548 Market St, PMB 84334, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA). When you purchase the book via Gumroad, you enter into a checkout transaction with Gumroad, Inc., which processes your payment, calculates and remits any applicable digital services VAT/sales tax for your jurisdiction, and issues your receipt.

Delivery of the digital files (PDF/EPUB) is immediate: as soon as your payment is confirmed, Gumroad provides direct download access on the confirmation screen and sends a permanent download link to your email address.

3. Intellectual Property, Personal License & Anti-Piracy Rules

All content on montenegrotravel.guide and inside the digital book "Montenegro Insider Travel Guide" — including text, route tables, budgets, maps, original photographs, and the 4-page local phrasebook — is the exclusive intellectual property of SIDTEC Entwicklung s.r.o. and author Ivan Semenov, protected by Slovak, European Union, and international copyright laws.

• Paid Digital Book License: Upon purchasing the book, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and store the PDF/EPUB files on your personal devices solely for your own private, non-commercial travel planning (including sharing with immediate family members or companions travelling on the same trip with you).
• Strict Anti-Piracy Prohibition: You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, upload to public or private Telegram channels, WhatsApp/Facebook groups, torrent trackers, cloud storage links, file-sharing websites, or participate in unauthorized group-buys ("skladchina") of the paid book.
• Free 11-Page PDF Sample: You are expressly permitted to download and freely share the official 11-page PDF sample (montenegro-travel-guide-free-sample.pdf) with friends, family, or fellow travellers, provided the file is shared in its complete, unmodified form with all author credits and links to montenegrotravel.guide intact. Selling or modifying the sample is prohibited.
• Prohibition of Commercial Scraping & Content Cloning (EU DSM Directive Opt-Out): Automated scraping, harvesting, or bulk copying of articles and photographs from montenegrotravel.guide for commercial republication or content-cloning websites is strictly prohibited. Pursuant to Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790 on copyright and related rights in the Digital Single Market, SIDTEC Entwicklung s.r.o. expressly reserves all rights against unauthorized commercial text and data mining. Indexing by search engines and short citations with clear attribution and a direct hyperlink to montenegrotravel.guide by AI search assistants (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews) are permitted.

4. Complimentary 1-on-1 Author Email Support (Voluntary Gift)

Buyers of the complete digital guide may write to author Ivan Semenov at [email protected] with questions about their upcoming trip to Montenegro. This 1-on-1 email support is provided strictly as a voluntary, complimentary gift from the author out of goodwill, and does not constitute a paid service contract, a binding SLA, or a separate contractual obligation.

Scope and limitations: Author support consists of concise, practical answers to specific questions about Montenegro regions, roads, and local realities based on the author’s personal experience. It does not include custom day-by-day trip planning for groups, booking hotels, rental cars, or flights on your behalf, interpreting or translation services, emergency roadside assistance, or legal/immigration consulting. The author replies on a best-effort basis and reserves the right to decline or discontinue replies to excessive, off-topic, or disrespectful requests.

5. Comprehensive Travel & Liability Disclaimer

All information provided on montenegrotravel.guide, in the free pre-trip checklist, in the 11-page sample, in the complete digital book "Montenegro Insider Travel Guide", and in any email replies from the author is provided strictly for general informational and educational purposes ("AS IS"). While every guide is written from real first-hand experience living and driving in Montenegro and verified as of 2026, travel conditions in the Balkans change constantly.

• Official Regulations & Dynamic Prices: Border crossing rules, visa requirements, mandatory tourist tax registration (bijeli karton) deadlines and police enforcement, customs allowances, traffic laws, road tolls, ferry/train/bus schedules, mobile roaming tariffs, and restaurant or accommodation prices may change at any time without notice. You remain solely responsible for verifying current official requirements with embassies, border police, and local authorities prior to and during your trip.
• No Travel Agency or Professional Advice: SIDTEC Entwicklung s.r.o. and Ivan Semenov are a publishing company and author — not a licensed travel agency, tour operator, insurance broker, legal advisor, or tax consultant. Nothing in our publications constitutes legal, financial, medical, or official immigration advice.
• Third-Party Services: Any mention of or link to third-party businesses (car rental agencies, hotels, restaurants, boat operators, mobile carriers, or booking platforms) reflects independent editorial experience at the time of writing. We do not control or guarantee the quality, safety, pricing, or contractual performance of any third party.
• Assumption of Risk & Limitation of Liability: Driving on narrow mountain or coastal roads (including the Kotor Serpentine, Durmitor Ring, or Tara Canyon), riding motorcycles, hiking in national parks, swimming, and international travel involve inherent hazards to life, health, and property. You undertake all travel activities entirely at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Slovak and EU law, SIDTEC Entwicklung s.r.o. and Ivan Semenov shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, traffic or border fines, denied entry, missed flights, vehicle damage, accidents, personal injury, or financial loss arising from reliance on our content. Mandatory statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded by law remain unaffected.

6. No-Refund Policy & Waiver of 14-Day Right of Withdrawal

Because "Montenegro Insider Travel Guide" is digital content not supplied on a tangible medium that is delivered immediately upon purchase, and because a free 11-page PDF sample is openly available for inspection prior to purchase, all sales are final and non-refundable.

In accordance with Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights and Section 19(1)(m) of the Slovak Consumer Protection Act No. 108/2024 Coll. (Zákon č. 108/2024 Z. z. o ochrane spotrebiteľa), by consenting to immediate download performance at checkout you lose the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. 7. Governing Law, Consumer Dispute Resolution & Language

These Terms and any legal relationship between you and SIDTEC Entwicklung s.r.o. are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic and applicable European Union law. If you are a consumer habitually resident in the European Union, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence (Article 6(2) of Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 — Rome I).

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR): If you are a consumer and are not satisfied with how we handled a complaint sent to [email protected], you have the right under Slovak Act No. 391/2015 Coll. on Alternative Resolution of Consumer Disputes to submit a proposal for out-of-court dispute resolution to the competent Slovak ADR entity: Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia (SOI), Ústredný inšpektorát, Odbor pre medzinárodné vzťahy a alternatívne riešenie spotrebiteľských sporov, Bajkalská 21/A, P. Prevailing Language: These Terms & Conditions are provided in English, Russian, German, Hebrew, French, and Polish for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy or divergence in interpretation between language versions, the English version shall prevail.
